It's that simple! We know it'll make your companions sad for a while - but they are going to be happy once more when we fix this thing. What we do have is a basic workaround that you can use for the time being! If you want to avoid this bug - just don't take Flying Golem Familiar or Bard Puppet Familiar with you to the dungeons. And to be completely honest: we do have a fix that we intend to introduce quite soon - but we don't have resources to do it right away, 'cause we are super focused on delivering the Between Dimensions DLC to consoles. We have a known issue on our list and it's an annoying one: infinite loading! As much as some of you might love longer loading times for some reason (you can go and grab a coffee or something), an infinite loading screen is something that we would love to get rid of.
